Our story
Built on One Simple Idea
Most moving companies make you pay for two movers whether you need them or not. We thought that was wrong — so we built something different.
Why We Started
The One and Only Movers was founded after one too many frustrating experiences watching friends and family overpay for moving help they didn't need. A studio apartment doesn't need two movers. A single couch doesn't need a full crew. But that's what most companies charge for — because it's easier for them, not better for you.
We built this company around a different model: you tell us what you need, we send exactly that. One mover, two movers, or a full crew — billed by the hour, no minimums, no surprises. Just honest work at a fair price.
Every mover on our team is background-checked, insured, and trained to treat your belongings like their own. We show up on time, work efficiently, and leave your space better than we found it.

The one-mover difference
Why One Mover Changes Everything
You only pay for what you need
Industry standard is a 2-mover minimum. We don't have one. If your job only needs one person, that's exactly what you'll pay for — nothing more.
Right-sized for apartments & small moves
Studios, 1-bedrooms, single-item moves, PODS loads — these jobs don't need a full crew. We built our pricing around the jobs most companies turn away.
Faster scheduling, more flexibility
One-mover slots open up more often and on shorter notice. Need someone today or tomorrow? We can usually make it happen.
Still professional, still insured
A single mover doesn't mean a lesser experience. Every mover — regardless of crew size — is background-checked, insured, and held to the same standard.
